Radio in nedersaksisch language

No results found.
Nedersaksisch, also known as Low Saxon, is a West Germanic language spoken in the northeastern part of the Netherlands and northwestern Germany. Despite being recognized as a regional language in the Netherlands, Nedersaksisch has struggled to gain official recognition in Germany.

The use of Nedersaksisch in popular music is not as common as in other languages, but there are some notable musicians who sing in the language. One such artist is Daniel Lohues, a singer-songwriter from Drenthe who has released several albums in Nedersaksisch. Other notable artists include Harry Niehof, Erwin de Vries, and Alex Vissering.

There are a few radio stations in the Netherlands that broadcast in Nedersaksisch, including RTV Drenthe and RTV Noord. However, the use of the language in mainstream media is limited, and most programming is in Dutch. There are also a number of regional newspapers and magazines that publish articles in Nedersaksisch, but they have a relatively small readership compared to Dutch-language media. Despite this, efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language, including through education programs and cultural events.
