Luganda is a major language spoken in Uganda, primarily in the central region, and is estimated to be the native language of over 5 million people. It is one of the most widely spoken languages in the country and is recognized as the official language of the Buganda Kingdom.

Several popular musical artists use Luganda in their music, including Jose Chameleone, Bobi Wine, and Juliana Kanyomozi. Jose Chameleone is widely regarded as the father of Ugandan music and has won numerous awards for his music. Bobi Wine, a former Member of Parliament, has also been known to use his music to address political and social issues in Uganda.

In terms of radio stations, there are several stations that broadcast in Luganda, including CBS FM, Radio Simba, and Bukedde FM. These stations offer a mix of news, music, and entertainment programming, and are popular among Luganda speakers in Uganda and around the world.
