Sadcore is a subgenre of alternative rock music that is characterized by its melancholic and introspective lyrics, slow and mellow music, and minimalist instrumentation. It is often associated with feelings of sadness, loneliness, and isolation, and its sound is marked by stripped-down arrangements that prioritize emotional depth over technical complexity. Some of the most popular sadcore artists include Low, Red House Painters, and Codeine, all of whom helped to popularize the genre in the 1990s. Other notable bands and artists in the genre include Mazzy Star, Sun Kil Moon, and Nick Drake.

In terms of radio stations, there are a few that specialize in alternative and indie music that may play some sadcore tracks, such as KEXP in Seattle, WA or WFMU in Jersey City, NJ. However, sadcore is not a mainstream genre, and as such, it may be harder to find dedicated radio stations that play it exclusively. Online streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music have extensive catalogs of sadcore music, making them great resources for fans of the genre to discover new artists and tracks.
