In the 1980s, the genre experienced a revival with artists such as Doe Maar and Het Goede Doel. In the 1990s and 2000s, Dutch pop music became even more popular with the rise of artists like Marco Borsato and Anouk. Today, Dutch pop music continues to be a popular genre with artists like Davina Michelle, Chef'Special, and Snelle.

There are several radio stations in the Netherlands that play Dutch pop music. Radio 538 is one of the most popular radio stations in the country and features a mix of Dutch pop music and international hits. Radio Veronica also plays a lot of Dutch pop music, as does NPO Radio 2. Other radio stations that focus specifically on Dutch music include NPO 3FM and 100% NL.

Dutch pop music has also gained popularity outside of the Netherlands, with some artists achieving international success. For example, Anouk has released several albums in English and has had hits in countries such as Belgium and Germany. Ilse DeLange, a country-pop singer, has also achieved success in other European countries.
