Speed metal music on the radio

Speed metal is a sub-genre of heavy metal music that is characterized by its fast tempo and aggressive sound. It emerged in the early 1980s and was heavily influenced by the new wave of British heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Some of the most popular speed metal bands include Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax.

Metallica is often credited as one of the pioneers of the speed metal genre. Their early albums like "Kill 'Em All" and "Ride the Lightning" are considered classic speed metal albums. Slayer is another influential band in the genre known for their fast and aggressive sound. Their album "Reign in Blood" is considered one of the best and most influential speed metal albums of all time.

Megadeth, led by guitarist Dave Mustaine, is another popular speed metal band known for their virtuoso musicianship and complex song structures. Their album "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?" is considered a classic of the genre. Anthrax, while not as influential as the previous bands, is still a notable speed metal band with a loyal following.

There are several radio stations that cater to speed metal fans. Some of these stations include HardRadio, Metal Devastation Radio, and Metal Tavern Radio. These stations play a mix of classic and modern speed metal bands, as well as other sub-genres of heavy metal.
