WVBI is an FM broadcast radio station. We broadcast from Beaver Island, an island in Lake Michigan in the United States. Our music intence format features the Cottage Mix, a mix of music aimed at multi-generation households that are typical of our summer population. It includes pop, oldies, folk, country, Celtic, light jazz and music of all generes from artists who have appeared at venues on the Island. In the late afternoon to early evening we feature current and recurrent hits. Overnight we offer modern and traditional jazz in the Jazz Nigh Watch. Saturday and Sunday mornings we provide three hours of information programming. We also include newscasts (including local and regional news)and weather reports as well as short features on film, astronomy, island living movies and more.
