RTL

RTL, acronym for Radio Télé Luxembourg, is a French private general-interest category E radio station, owned by the French media group M6, whose main shareholder is the Luxembourg audiovisual group RTL Group. It broadcasts mainly in France on long waves, on FM and on satellite, and offers its programs on the Internet. It is consistently ranked France's top radio station in terms of audience, with an average of 6.3 million daily listeners in 2016. RTL devotes a good part of its programming to information with news broadcast every hour, accompanied by weather forecasts. The program for the week is based around five major daily news events featuring many chronicles: RTL Petit Matin (4.30-7.00 a.m.), RTL Matin followed by the cultural magazine Let yourself be tempted (7.00-9.30 a.m. ), RTL Midi followed by the free-to-air Les listeners have their say (12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.), RTL Soir followed by the On refait le monde debate (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and RTL Grand Soir (10 p.m. to 11 p.m.). On weekends, the station broadcasts RTL Week-end (7 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.) and RTL Soir Week-end (6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) as well as the programs Le Journal Inattendu on Saturday (12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and Le Grand Jury (12:30 p.m. ) and Les Sous de l'Écran (7-7.30 p.m.) on Sundays.
