Radio La Primerísima was one of the radio stations created during the first ten years of the Sandinista government. Since 1990 it has been owned by the workers. Radio La Primerísima, founded in December 1985, was one of the radio stations created during the ten years of government of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN), between the revolutionary triumph of 1979 over the Somoza dictatorship, and the electoral defeat of 1990. The history of this radio has two major stages: First as State property, until 1990, and then as worker property, through the Association of Nicaraguan Radio Broadcasting Professionals (APRANIC), until today.
