Radio Klinikfunk Wiesbaden is the patient radio of the Dr.-Horst-Schmidt-Klinik (HSK), the Hessian state capital Wiesbaden. The independent association, founded in 1981, designs and broadcasts a professional, advertising-free 24-hour entertainment and information program for the almost 1,000 HSK patients on a voluntary basis and is financed exclusively by membership fees and donations. The almost 100 members of the association are primarily pursuing the goal of distracting the patients from their illness and the hospital stay and helping them to recover faster with their favorite music.
