Rádio Clube is a Brazilian radio station based in Recife, capital of the state of Pernambuco. Operates on the AM dial, at 720 kHz frequency. Belonging to Diários Associados, it was founded on April 6, 1919 by radiotelegrapher Antônio Joaquim Pereira, and is considered the first radio station in Brazil, although many recognize that Edgar Roquette-Pinto founded Rádio Sociedade do Rio de Janeiro in 1922. in legal scope. However, Rádio Clube was the pioneer in terms of having made the first official broadcast, in an improvised studio in Ponte d'Uchoa, in Recife.
