Starting in 1992, radio Kuku was the first private radio station in Estonia. Today, Kuku Europe is one of the few private radio stations whose focus is on news, talk and problem shows, and individual, but all the more carefully selected, pieces of music. In the winter of 2014, Kuku was regularly listened to by 144,000 people, and Kuku was the most listened-to private radio station among Estonian-speaking listeners in Tallinn. Nearly 80,000 people regularly listen to Kuku's morning and afternoon programs.
