The Media Authority has designated the DNO Media Foundation (formerly Streekradio/A28FM) as the local media institution for the municipalities of Staphorst and De Wolden. The decision on this was announced at the beginning of December 2018 after positive advice from the municipality of Staphorst and De Wolden. From the studio of DNO Media in Zuidwolde, the local radio and TV offer is provided for the region of Southwest Drenthe and North Overijssel.
