Garage music on the radio

Garage music, also known as UK garage, is a subgenre of electronic dance music that emerged in the UK in the mid-1990s. The genre is characterized by its use of 4/4 beats with syncopated rhythms, and a focus on vocal samples and chopped-up garage house-style beats. Garage music reached its peak popularity in the UK in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with artists like Artful Dodger, Craig David, and So Solid Crew achieving mainstream success.

Artful Dodger is widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential garage music acts. Their 2000 album "It's All About the Stragglers" spawned a number of hit singles, including "Re-Rewind" and "Movin' Too Fast." Other notable garage music artists include MJ Cole, DJ EZ, and Todd Edwards.

There are a number of radio stations that focus on garage music. Rinse FM, which launched in London in 1994, is one of the most well-known garage music radio stations, and has helped to popularize the genre over the years. Other notable stations include Flex FM, Sub FM, and UK Bass Radio. Many of these stations also feature other electronic dance music genres, such as dubstep and drum and bass, in addition to garage music.
