Hip hop music on the radio in Japan

Hip hop music has had a unique journey in Japan, with the genre taking on a distinct local flavor. Japan FM Network - JFN is one of Japan's major broadcast networks that feature a dedicated hip hop channel: J-Wave. Other radio stations such as FM802, InterFM, and J-WAVE also feature hip hop genre music programming. J-Hip hop, as it is referred to in Japan, is a genre that has gradually grown in popularity over the years. With a unique combination of Japanese and hip hop culture, it is no surprise that this genre is now enjoyed and appreciated both inside and outside of Japan.
