Scandinavian Satellite Radio AS (Scansat) started broadcasting on 1 November 2000. We are leading players of this concept in Norway and Scandinavia. The broadcasts go via digital satellite to the whole of Europe so that anyone with a satellite dish can receive our signals. We have been added to most cable networks in Norway, including Get, Canal digital and Alt i box as well as their partners, just to name a few. We also cover Oslo / Akershus on Dab with about 1.2 million inhabitants and Stavanger - Haugesund Sundhordaland on Dab. In addition to this, several cable companies in Denmark have and Spain and Thailand chose to take down our signals due to demand. Included in these is one on the popular holiday island of Mallorca. It is clear that many Norwegians who stay in the sun and heat of the South for a shorter or longer time find good entertainment in our programs from their home country.
