On the 20th of February 1993, by the decision of the Tuzla District Assembly, Tuzla District Television was established. We started with seven employees and two amateur cameras. The reports were recorded and edited on cameras, and the first diaries were broadcast from the TVBiH transmitter in Ilinčica. Despite the impossible war conditions, we successfully started our mission.. The citizens of Tuzla District, who were in a complete information blockade, began to receive information about the events in the State. TV Okrug Tuzla met the end of the war with 45 employees and very poorly technically equipped. In 1995, we were renamed RTV Tuzla-Podrinje Canton, and in 1999 RTV Tuzla Canton.
