Rádio Uirapuru AM – 1170 Khz - was founded on November 26, 1981. The programming was planned and oriented based on the results of a public opinion survey with a representative sample of the population of Passo Fundo, carried out one month before its foundation. The research identified the aspirations and needs of people from Passo Fundo and provided the formatting of the new radio station.
