Radio Surubim was born out of a people's need and a man's desire to always want to bring development to a needy and suffering region, but he always had the concern to do the best for these people. Monsignor Luis Ferreira Lima, among other important works that he brought to the city of Surubim, was the founder of the first radio station in the city. Inaugurated on April 21, 1986, it played an important role in the growth of local trade and stood out among other things as gateway for many young people who dreamed of becoming a communicator and who today are employed by major radio stations in the state.. After his death, his brother Dr. Alcides Ferreira Lima (also deceased) and his nephew Dr. Sizino Ferreira Lima Neto, current Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for keeping it on the air until today serving the population of Surubim and region.
