Turn it up and sing along!Radio Skonto was started in the middle of 1993 by Arvīds Mūrnieks and Ivo Baumanis. The purpose of this radio station was to be an alternative to the Latvian Radio 1 program. Radio Riga started broadcasting on the morning of December 15, 1993, and the studio was located in the Daile Theater. 1996. In 2008, in cooperation with the US concern Metromedia Radio Skonto changed its program in favor of popular music, interspersed with short news releases. Based on international experience, the program began to be compiled only from the most popular melodies.
