Recifolia was an out-of-season carnival that took place on Av. Boa Viagem, Recife from 1993 to 2003, during these 10 years the party drew crowds swayed by Northeastern rhythms.
Unfortunately due to political interest (the party was created by Cadoca and Mayor João Paulo of the PT ended the party) and due to complaints from the local population that the party caused noise pollution in the 4 days that it took place would put an end to the only carnival out of season in Recife .
