Announcing the Savior!. The Foundation Stone of the Church of São João Batista was placed on August 5, 1928 by the priests of the Parish of São Pedro. It continued as the Chapel of Saint Peter until January 9, 1963, when the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saint John the Baptist was created, which passed to the administration of the Redemptorists. Current Church is from the year 1959, also made by the Fathers of São Pedro.
