Rádio Palmeira is a local radio station from Madeira with coverage of the city of Santa Cruz, belonging to the Rádios Madeira group. It plays diverse music from Portuguese popular music, pop, rock and its coverage covers the municipalities of Machico and Santa Cruz with an estimated total of almost 65,000 inhabitants. Currently, its coordinator is Rogério Capelo. It was founded in 1989. Since then it occupies the facilities in the Bemposta Housing Complex Ap-A1/A2 – Água Pena. It is currently the radio that is most concerned with social causes in the municipality of Santa Cruz. With the slogan: “Rádio Palmeira, the Santa Cruz radio”.
