Radio Otočac started working on August 2, 1966. and thus ranked among the older radio stations in Croatia. Soon, a three-hour daily program was established. Informative, educational, musical and entertaining contents were the basic orientation of the radio program team until the beginning of the Homeland War. At that time, the radio station operated as part of the National University of Otočac. In addition to the basic task of providing daily information about social events in the then municipality of Otočac, radio acquired a new role in the early nineties.
