Radio Monastir (إذاعة المنستير) is a Tunisian regional and generalist radio founded on August 3, 1977. It broadcasts mainly in the Tunisian Center and Sahel region. Arabic-speaking, it has been broadcasting continuously since September 2011, in frequency modulation and from seven stations covering the Tunisian Sahel region, the center of the country and Cap Bon. It initially broadcasts on 1521 kHz from a twenty-watt transmitter (but only actually operating at seven watts), then on 603 kHz through a hundred-watt transmitter. Its broadcast on medium wave was interrupted in March 2004.
