Metropolitan Radio - Evangelization through the radio waves! Tune in to 87.9 FM or listen online. Radio Metropolitana FM, from Uberaba, began in 1996. It is a dream of the people of Uberaba that gained space in the heart of Dom Aloísio Roque Oppermann, Metropolitan Archbishop of Uberaba. With just five months at the helm of the Archdiocese of Uberaba, Dom Roque inaugurates Rádio Metropolitana. Rádio Metropolitana was one of the first community radio stations in Brazil to receive the grant and license to operate. Despite the low power and the difficulties faced by community broadcasters, Rádio Metropolitana has been carrying out its mission of being the voice of the Archdiocese of Uberaba with dignity and great affection. Today, almost seventeen years later, the radio is experiencing its best moment. In front of him, Monsignor Valmir Ribeiro who, with wisdom, has given the station a dynamism that has been contagious, both collaborators and listeners. The possibility of listening to Metropolitana in a virtual space, as well as being able to participate in the Holy Mass, every day, and, on Saturdays, the perpetual novena of Nossa Senhora da Medalha Milagrosa are, without a doubt, the great achievements of our dear Rádio Metropolitana.
