On the eighth day of September, two thousand and nine, community members and representatives of charitable entities gathered for the special purposes of founding the Lagartense Community Broadcasting Association, a non-profit organization, without political, partisan or religious affiliation, with duration for an indefinite period and with the following purpose, to encourage education and culture in the community through the community radio broadcasting service and other activities always aiming at the general interests of the community.. Currently, Juventude FM has as General Director the Radialist Aloísio Santos Andrade, popularly known as Prefeitinho, the same is also President of the Sergipe Federation of Community Radios (FESERCOM).
