Radio Gurbaba FM is the first mother tongue radio station outside the capital, with the main slogan 'Sambabeshi Radio Common Voice'. Its main language is Thara. This radio was established in the year 2065 and is located in Bansgarhi, Bardia district of the Mid-West region. This radio has a capacity of 100 watts and can be heard on 106.4 MHz. Tharu caste ranks fourth in Nepal. According to the linguistic calculation, the Tharus are in the third place. Bardia district is a Tharu-speaking district of Nepal. More than 52 percent are Tharu speakers here. Keeping this in mind, Tharu has been made the main language of Radio Gurbaba.
