The first steps of Rádio Esperança FM took place in 1997, but without a definitive name for the official baptism. Previously, Fundação Trindade FM Radiodiversão Educativa; later Fundação Rádio e TV Educativa Novos Horizontes, and, later, by the name with which many today already identify Fundação Rádio e TV Educativa Esperança.
