Difusora AM was inaugurated on May 1, 1944, a time when few stations operated in the interior of São Paulo. In the region, there is news that there were only radio stations in Campinas, Ribeirão Preto and Poços de Caldas, when “ZYD-6” went on the air, “speaking to the entire east of São Paulo and south of Minas” – as it proudly presented itself. to the public, with its 100 watts of radiated power.
At 65 years old, Difusora is one of the few Medium Wave stations that remains solid in our region, opposing the modernity of FMs, which boast better sound quality and put more music on the air. AM remains strong for meeting community demands, bringing information and journalism to the public. It is a radio that constantly rebuilds itself, today operating with 5,000 watts of power and reaching dozens of municipalities.
