RADIO CULTURA DO NORDESTE was conceived by radio technician Jaime Mendonça (now deceased), who set up a small 25-watt transmitter and put the station on the air even irregularly. Later, a group formed by businessmen from the city came together to found the station with political purposes. This happened on August 31, 1958 in the city of Caruaru – the land of Feira.
