More than a radio, Muriqui FM 87.9 is the result of an educational, cultural and socio-environmental project, built to supply the lack of this communication vehicle in the city and region collectively by people in partnership with public and private institutions who are concerned with making a more egalitarian and conscious society, contributing to the formation of full, autonomous, sensitive, critical subjects and citizens. Radio Parque Muriqui FM 87.9, in accordance with the norms and under concession of the Ministry of Communications, began on August 12, 2009 at 3:57 pm its transmissions on an experimental basis.
