Radio Comercio

The dictatorship ruled the country. Many radio stations were being closed by the military government, which only allowed stations that did not propagate any political ideology to remain on the air. In the midst of all this censorship, "Rádio do Comércio" appears. So on April 16, 1969, AM ZYJ 480, "Rádio do Comércio", went on the air. With a more musical programming and a weakened journalism because of the dictatorship, "Rádio do Comércio" began to work in the sense of always seeking freedom of expression. Evolving according to the needs demanded by the public and the market, the station invested in equipment and personnel. Today, its programming is diversified and meets the interests of listeners, especially with regard to events that occurred in the southern region of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
