Rádio Clube was and still is present in Itaúna's History, participating and collaborating for its growth and dynamism through its advertisements that help local commerce to sell more and better, creating jobs and opportunities and with its modern and healthy programming, helping to form citizens best.. Rádio Clube de Itaúna was founded in July 1949 by a group of radio enthusiasts. This group was composed of several radio amateurs at the time who knew the technical part of the project and artists who wanted a vehicle for wide dissemination of their work. From this initial effort and with the financial support of dozens of shareholders (it was born as a corporation) Rádio Clube de Itaúna went on the air a year later, July 1950, with a great popular opening party. Like many radios at the time, it had an auditorium where live presentations were made (it still did not have sound recording equipment) of music shows and radio soap operas, written by local enthusiasts and represented live with great participation in the audience.
