Radio Classique, the first classical music radio station in France. 30 years ago, when the airwaves were released, a local radio station broadcasting from the heights of Paris, in a building in Montmartre was born. Radio Classique had just been born with a single objective: to broadcast “great music without commentary”. Despite the lack of means, the sharing of its only frequency with another radio, a computer for the only recording console, the radio has never stopped broadcasting. 3 decades later, Radio Classique has become a large national network with more than 80 frequencies and has more than a million listeners a day. It is the leading classical music radio station in France.
