Rádio Cidade de Caratinga began operating effectively in September 1988. Its original proposal was to mix a more popular music program with interactive charts that would allow the intense participation of the community in the life of the station. The proposal was well assimilated and evolved into a dynamic in which new projects were included, such as journalism and sports coverage, formatted in such a way as not to harm the programming's plastic structure.
