Radio Camoapa is a community radio station, affiliated with the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters, AMARC ALC. The station began its operations on April 1, 2004 with the purpose of serving the community of the municipality of Camoapa and neighboring towns. Currently, the Radio Camoapa signal covers the central region of Nicaragua with 1,000 watts of power at 98.50 FM and also broadcasts over the Internet at www.radiocamoapa.com. Since its foundation, Radio Camoapa has established a strong relationship with the community, allowing it to establish itself as the communication medium with the greatest impact in the central region of the country and to be one of the most important stations in Nicaragua.
