Web radio (also known as Internet Radio or Online Radio) is a digital radio that broadcasts via the Internet using technology (streaming) audio/sound transmission service in real time.
Through a server, it is possible to broadcast live or recorded programming. Many traditional radio stations transmit the same programming as FM or AM (analog transmission by radio waves, but with limited signal range) also over the Internet, thus achieving the possibility of global reach in the audience. Other stations broadcast only via the Internet (web radios). Brazil has not yet fully embarked on this radio format, but it is a matter of time due to the growth of internet users today.
