The 87.9 FM Rádio Alternativa de Monte Alto, was inaugurated on 12/10/2005, in accordance with the concession granted by the regulating body, sponsored by the then mayor Gilberto Morgado, with the objective of bringing to the Montealtense population a diversified program and without political nature.
