Radio Aalto's original format was "soft favourites", which was changed to "rock and stylish pop" on August 24, 2009. Aalto reformed again in March 2011, now targeting the 20-44 age group and diversifying its music offering. The channel's core target group is currently 25–44 year olds. Since 2011, Aalto's slogan has been "Colorful to hear", which was abandoned at the turn of 2016. Nowadays, the channel's slogan is "The best mix".
