The 710 AM frequency began broadcasting with the initials XEMP on November 1, 1961 as “La charrita del cuadrante”, a station dedicated to ranchera music. In 1983 he joined the Mexican Institute of Radio under the name Opus 710, "The cultural station of the Mexican Institute of Radio", specialized in classical music; Later, as a result of the earthquakes that affected Mexico City in September 1985, it became Radio Información, "The journalistic station of the Mexican Institute of Radio". Between 1990 and 2013 it had several format changes: tropical, regional Mexican and rock in Spanish, but as of February 1, 2014 XEMP returns to regional Mexican music as Radio 710.
