Radio 5FM has been in existence since February 18, 2001, when it received a license to broadcast a program at the local level. By format, Radio 5FM is a talk-music radio with a mostly entertainment general format. In terms of music offering, 5FM is Adult Contemporary Hit Radio (ACHR). The delivery point is located in the area of ​​St. Ilia, at an altitude of 555 meters. Radio 5FM radiates at a frequency of 107.1 MHz, with a transmitter power of 100W. The delivery of the signal from the studio to the transmission point is digital. In addition to Veles, the signal of Radio 5FM also reaches Sveti Nikole, Lozovo, Gradsko, Caška, Bogomila and parts of Skopje. Apart from terrestrial, Radio 5FM also broadcasts on the internet, in digital AAC format. During its operation, Radio 5FM became a leader in the media space of Veles. The daily listening rating is 25% in the territory of the Municipality of Veles, and certain segments of the program reach a rating of over 40%. Radio 5FM grew into a "school" for radio journalism and radio management.
