Radio 101

Radio 101 first existed under the name Omladinski radio, which began operating on May 8, 1984, as the official radio of the Socialist Youth Association of Trešnjevka municipality. The first studio was in the Student Dormitory "Stjepan Radić" from where it operated until May 1987, when they moved to a studio at Gajeva 10 in Zagreb. During pluralist changes for better marketing in 1990, Youth Radio was renamed Radio 101 because the radio station broadcasted its program on the frequency 101 MHz. Radio 101 also set standards in news broadcasts. Aktual 101, which is still broadcast today as a central news program, Kronika dana (today Tema dana) and the former Parlament Show are recognizable formats of Radio 101. In terms of entertainment, at the end of the 80s, the programs Mamuti, Zločesta dječa and a little later Špiček gained incredible popularity.
