Luis Alberto Medina planned to do a different kind of journalism. An innovative option through radio, Internet television and social networks. After the first broadcasts on the Internet, Proyecto Puente consolidated itself as the leading newscast on social networks with the greatest digital interaction in Sonora, with the support of international, national and local collaborators. The newscast has an Editorial Board that proposes and supervises content made up of specialists in different areas and academics from all the universities in the State. In 2014, for unprecedented coverage of the toxic spill in the Sonora River, classified as the worst ecological tragedy in Mexico, the Puente Project team, under the direction of Luis Alberto Medina, won the 2014 National Journalism Award in the category “ News".
