LTR, which was founded in 1990 and started its broadcasts with an hour a day, has been broadcasting full-time since 1994. Continuing its broadcasts uninterruptedly for 22 years, the radio is known as the only Turkish radio channel broadcasting 24 hours on legal frequency outside of Turkey and the TRNC.
