FM Xique-Xique went on air in an experimental phase, for 30 days, on June 27, 1993, at 10:40 am. After the experimental phase, it followed the normal schedule, with music, news and sports. In the month of December of the same year, the owners of the radio organized a get-together with the presence of merchants, announcers, listeners and authorities, at a dinner in the Salão de Cultura.
