Preterism is the methodology for examining Old Testament prophecies, including the Book of Revelation. This school is also known as the historical-contemporary. We understand that all of the prophecies were fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem (in 70 AD), and that we are reigning with Christ in life as Romans 5:17 says. Preterism is not a doctrine, it is a method of interpreting scripture.
