Samaúma Community Radio is a station of the Smaúma Community Broadcasting Association, which broadcasts from Cacoal, in the state of Rondônia. Its team of professionals includes William Barbosa, Mario Nilson, Rose Moreno and Marcos Mendes.
Since 1998, a law has been in force in Brazil that provides for the operation of community radios, non-profit low-power stations, designed to serve only one location. On May 14, 1996, there was the first meeting with the aim of creating the Samaúma Community Association, to discuss and approve its statute, elect the Board of Directors and Audit Committee.
