The Astra Plus radio program started on January 1, 1998. It is implemented after winning a project under the "MEDIA" PROGRAM of the "Open Society" Foundation, which finances the complete technical equipment and commissioning of radio "Astra Plus". The main goals set in the project are support, development and affirmation of civil society and freedom of speech in the Bulgarian media. The specific activity of the project is the creation of a private, independent radio station in the city of Dupnitsa, which will serve the interests of society and work for the affirmation of pluralism and democratic principles.
