979fm provides the only true community radio service broadcasting across the City of Melton. For more than 30 years, our valued volunteers provide continuous programming twenty-four hours per day from our local studio complex in Melton with transmissions occurring from our transmission facility located at Mount Kororoit in Rockbank. Throughout our history we have and will continue to operate on a purely not-for-profit basis with a growing membership base, currently balanced at more than eighty local volunteers from communities across the City of Melton.
