Funk music has a small but dedicated following in Ireland, with a handful of talented artists and radio stations keeping the groove alive.

One of the most popular Irish funk bands is The Republic of Loose, formed in 2001. The band has released several albums and singles, including "Comeback Girl" and "I Like Music", which have gained them a loyal fan base in Ireland and beyond. Another notable artist in the Irish funk scene is the Dublin-born musician and producer Daithi, who infuses traditional Irish music with electronic funk beats.

In terms of radio stations, RTE Pulse is a popular choice for funk fans in Ireland. The digital station plays a range of electronic and dance music, including funk and soul, with shows hosted by DJs such as Billy Scurry and Kelly-Anne Byrne. Another station that features funk music is Dublin's Near FM, which broadcasts a weekly show called "The Groove Line" hosted by DJ Dave O'Connor.

While funk music may not be as mainstream in Ireland as other genres, its dedicated fan base and talented artists continue to keep the groove alive in the Emerald Isle.
